Meet Margaret Meder

Margaret is a teacher and Grief and Wellness Coach at ExhalingGrief.com. She’s passionate about helping people who are coping with loss, especially parents who are in pain from the death of a child.  She has a unique understanding of grief through the death of her own 9 year-old son Evan, who died in 2013.  Following this devastating event, Margaret went on a spiritual journey to:

  • process her experiences
  • heal from exhaustion and painful emotions of grief
  • connect with deeper aspects of herself and the greater reality
  • find meaning within the loss

She wanted to be able to exhale from the grief, find her breath again, and still keep Evan close to my heart.

As her journey unfolded, she discovered Jin Shin Jyutsu (an ancient light touch healing similar to acupuncture but without the needles), Intuitive Studies, and Grief Education.  Today, she wants to share what she’s learned and help others navigate the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief.

Margaret is the author of the award winning book, Uncommon Beauty: Crisis Parenting from Day One, a guidebook for parents of medically fragile children.

What My Clients Say

“I met Margaret about one month after my son passed away suddenly without explanation.  Although the circumstances were awful, I was fortunate to have met Margaret when I did.  When I lost my Ethan, I genuinely felt like I “lost him” and was praying for answers or clues as to where he could be, how he was doing, and where I could find him.  I was not coping well.

Because Margaret understands this unique kind of pain she was able to help me find peace in the emotional chaos that comes after losing a child.   She also helped to ground me and empower me.  Through our conversations, I have learned that my son and I still have a connection that is still very much alive, and can never be broken because we are bound by love, which is unbreakable.  Margaret’s unique spiritual connection is priceless and we should never forget that our own love connections to our loved ones transcend the grief and pain that comes when they pass away.”
